My Grandparents moved to northern Michigan in the 1940’s because they fell in love with the land, the fresh air, the rivers and the lakes. After vacationing in northern Michigan my whole life it was only natural that I moved my family to Traverse City in 2004 to start a business. Like my Grandparents before me I was drawn to the “Up North” way of life and the many bounties that this special place has to offer.

Way North Foods was founded with one goal; to be making our every product “Way North of Ordinary – Extraordinary!” All of us at Way North Foods believe that Life is a journey so why not enjoy the very best life can give us along the way? All of our handcrafted products are made with the highest quality all-natural, wholesome ingredients we can find. Since we are based in Traverse City, Michigan we also try to buy as many local and Michigan products as possible to use in our recipes. We believe in only making products that are bursting with flavor much like the fruit we use from the orchards, bogs, vineyards and fields that surround northern Michigan.
